to the Other Side..

Today was excellent, not because i went to other side, but because I spent it with interesting and nice person - Etelka. Some bits in the other side are so disgusting, this army regime. How should person feel to see line of tanks passing by? I suppose very safe. I was disgusted.. isn't it enough. There are no winners in war, no matter how good armor you have.. just Loosers.

We visited the best ruins of cathedrals in Famagusta. Also Nestorian church.. Got a glimpse of the Ghost city and the destruction that was brought to this country. It's sad.

As I sad it was all about enjoying the day and doing it together with somebody, not the enjoying "the great view" of ugliness.

Die hard in LV

Another important ingredient affecting the survival of people in Latvia includes dangerous life-styles and substance abuse. Alcohol consumption rose from an average per capita rate of 1.9 liters per year in the 1920-34 period to 11.7 liters per year in 1985. This sixfold increase in alcohol consumption has had deleterious effects in many other areas of life and health and is one of the main causes of traffic deaths, drownings, fires, and crime.

Most Latvian males are inveterate smokers. A study of six cities in the mid-1980s discovered that 63 percent of men were active smokers, 13 percent had quit, and only 24 percent had never smoked. Smoking takes a particularly heavy toll in Latvia because the allowable tar content in cigarettes is high (three times as great as in Finland), most of the cheaper brands do not have a filter, and most men prefer to inhale deeply. There is a high incidence of illnesses related to smoking and environmental pollution, such as emphysema, lung cancer, bronchial asthma, and bronchitis."

Meanwhile In Cyprus is Greek National day (Declaration of independence from Ottoman Empire in 1821. Start of the Greek War of Independence), when loud and noisy drum parade woke me up at the window at 7am. Cyprus is very generous with celebrations. Let's celebrate other countryš Independence day!! What a.. It's a holiday!!!

Evening Walk

Just went for a walk through and around the Old town of Nicosia. Actually, there is nothing that would catch my eye and i would stand for pleasure of my eyes. Some places are even scary, makes the inner side of me to say"Now turn around and never come back to this place. creepyyyyy" Why, why the city has become like that? Poverty, immigrants. They say they will open the Ledra street very soon. I want to see then the situation is in this God's left behind country. What shit can come from Turkey? the answer is All kinds! I don't wanna mention, but it smells bad..

Please mention some other ugly places u have been?!

Latvian language (Latvian: latviešu valoda), is the official state language of Latvia. Alternative names include Lettish and Lettisch. There are about 1.39 million native Latvian speakers in Latvia and about 150,000 abroad. The Latvian language has a relatively large number of non-native speakers, atypical for a small language. Because of language policy in Latvia approximately 60% of the 900,000 ethnic-minority population of Latvia speak Latvian. The use of the Latvian language in various areas of the social life in Latvia is increasing.^[2]

Latvian is a Baltic language, closely related to Lithuanian. They are somewhat mutually intelligible.

Latvian first appeared in Western print in the mid-16th century with the reproduction of the Lord's Prayer in Latvian in Sebastian Munter's Cosmographia Universalis, in Roman script. Prior to this westernization, earlier Latvian was written in runic characters.

Easter in West

Greetings to everybody who celebrates Easter today! He is risen! Risen indeed!! Rejoice!

Isn't that amazing, he did not stay in tomb but Almighty God rose him from death.. Nobody else can do that.
I am kinda not celebrating West Easter. In Cyprus there are no special things today, its just an ordinary day. The decorations of rabbits and stuff like that are all around, i haven't had a one chocolate egg or nothing. very weird feeling, feeling that the best is just to come, so am waiting. Waiting the lent to be over, waiting for church bells and all the ceremonies around. Cyprus is more Mid East country than western.. So If i would now not know i would not know. I look forward for Orthodox Easter, when everybody knows. Its celebrated in totally different way, a lot of symbols, a lot of church, a lot of church activities. Apparently in orthodox church the black veils from icons are being taken away and people make noise with the sitting part of wooden chairs.
Let's make some noise! Christ is risen!! :) It is worth to see and feel the great victory of Christ.

How (un)comfortable can be suspenders? Looks like its perfect weather (20C) for wearing those.

Tomorrow is Monday, not a holiday as all around Europe. But instead will celebrate some Greek fest on Tuesday.I love holidays, i love holidays when It has been fun and i have done something that i could not do on any other working day!

Old harbor

Weather: Nicosia, 18 C, Full Moon

Just to catch up on today's events. I am pleased to have some quality/fun time within relationships to cover up the jealousy feeling that arouses in me every time I have to share the person with several jobs, other people and just time.
Somebody said that taking away these feelings of jealousy and other selfish consequences, helps to have better relationships with God and with other people. I have to find the a method how to complete it successfully.

Today we went to Limassol. I asked Savas to show me the his childhood paths and places where he used to play when he was small and came to Cyprus for holidays. Houses and places look different, but some of the people are still there, memories are there. Old harbor is full of old boats that should be reconstructed, feeling that you are back in time. At least something that you don't see on Macario's Street.
We stopped at the beach with waves I have never seen in Cyprus. Big and jacuzzi style, just wanna get in and feel the pleasure of massage in the power of water moves. We picked lovely stones and shells..
In addition for the sake of toilet had a lovely experience of biscolatto floshake in Flocaffe. :)

Dilemma on Clean/Green Monday

Today we made peace between us and we took our friends with us to beach, out of town of Nicosia. We were no different than other people in whole Cyprus. Everybody was going to some greenland, as today starts Orthodox Lent time. No meet, no milk no nothing, just being real hard on yourself. That`s one of the things in this country is great, that the Fasting is really ok, people accept that and they know that it is there, so it is ok in shop or pizzeria ask for fasting dishes. That kind of thing you will never get in non-orthodox country.
So we went to the beach, played games, had some food, chilled and talked.
Talking was the hardest part. Talking was facing the deepest fears and doubts, talking was listening to other opinion, talking made me very thoughtful, sad, depressed, hopeful, quiet, reserved, confused, with responsibility to make decision, the difficult and right decision.

Now the Green Dilemma is revealed, I have to face and solve it, I have to understand it, i have to accept it or deny it, i have to work on it. Time:40 days.

The Most High God is my strength and my hope and my peace. Amen

To do Nothing and Something

I started week with new features for my blog, very exciting! :) Am having chatbox, daily verse from Bible, visitor counter, different links.

Today at work our computer system broke, so in the times when there is nothing to do, it is very hard to do actually something. so I found my way.

Then went to gym, I am totally not fan anymore of this activity, and that makes me sad.. I was there and i was not the way i was when i started.. (you can read some previous posts.. i was total fan of sweating, running, weight lifting). Nowadays i don't feel so energetic, motivated. not good, not at all.. Maybe i need to spice up my life with something else.

Am spicing up the dinner at the moment, I hope he will enjoy it.

failing plans

Now am so annoyed just because the things does not work the way i have planned them and the way expect everything to happen. Yes, firstly its my problem, i get annoyed, secondly, other people personalities are not the way i expect them to be. am just annoyed.

What am gonna do?

I will stay cool, reschedule my plans, accept the things the way they are and believe that is the way it should happen, and there is no way to turn back or change. All things happen for good for those who love God. Just accept and be in peace. The world does not turn around me, i turn around all other things in the world.
